Music/Band

Jacob's Well has very different musical tastes and we take this art form very seriously.  It's hard to find a person who doesn't like music (are there any out there at all?). Around South Minneapolis, most of us listen to the Current 89.3 and enjoy a wide variety of genres.  We "dabble" with an array of genres from acoustic pop to folk, country to hard rock, jazz to R&B. We understand that music has the ability to move us in ways that nothing else can and we look forward to the "doors" it can open in our lives...

With this in mind, the musicians of Jacob's Well, led by Nate Bergengren (the lead musician), prepare top quality music every week with a message that helps illuminate truths about God, our relationship to God and how that affects our relationship with each other.  Original and covers, the music we do is designed to give us a song to sing and an opportunity to express our deep heart-longings.  AND it sounds and feels great.

Some songs, you'd expect to hear in church and others you wouldn't... God speaks to us all the time through what we call "pop tunes" (songs that you hear on the Current, KS95, Cities97, KDWB, 93X, etc.).  Wanna e-mail Nate?

"Roadies" - Be part of the band, even if you can't play an instrument (or sing), by helping with set up ("making") and/or tear down ("breaking").

Every major production has many volunteers who work behind the scenes to make things happen...

Each and every Sunday, dozens of people gather at Field Middle School to unload a van and a trailer, filled with the building blocks that are used to create the environmental elements that you see in our space. We have a lot of music equipment (PA, stands, roller-trunks, etc) that need to be set up as a part of the environment as well.

We are in need of some "roadies" to help us "make" (unload the van, move equipment into the commons area and help set up) and/or "break" the stage (unplug and wrap up cable, breakdown mic stands, pack everything up in the blue roller-cases and load them into the trailer).

You don't need to be a musician. You don't need to be terribly skilled. You just need to be willing to learn, with an average work-ethic. It's simple! Anyone can do it. You can be a part of the glitz and glamour that is being a "roadie":)

This is a very important task, and we need a few people to take this on and get it done.  Interested?
