Camp Serve Day 5

Today, August 6, we started off the day by playing some Pre-games in the game area.  Then we all joined and sang some wonderful songs with everybody.  After that we watched the slide show from this fantastic week together, and we did every body's favorite part of the day, COLOR WARS!!!

Camp Serve Day 4

Today at Camp Serve~~

Our crews first arrived to a mayhem of shirt selling.  It was very busy and had a large line, but after everyone had purchesed their (very cool might I add) shirts we headed over for some game time.  Purple competed against other teams through some silly compations.  Bergan impersanated Stevens impression of a goat, Lizzie danced on her head and Curtis (from another team) burped, loudly. Then we headed to club. We sang, we played we competed and we were ready to serve.

Camp Serve Day 3

Today we all met at our church, and then we drove to Camp Serve.  When we arrived at the camp site, we played games, sang songs, and did the color wars.

After that, we started serving at the Care Center/Nursing Home in Richfield.  Some of us played instruments, and others visited with the elderly. We saw many people with lots of different and interesting stories.

Camp Serve Day 2

Today we started off meeting at our church and then driving to the home base.  Then at 9:00 we played games and shortly after, we went to club and did various things such as singing, color races, and praying.  After club a few church groups drove to Oliver Church to serve in a different way than Monday.  There were three jobs:weeding and sweeping, stacking and dusting chairs, and garage cleanup.  After our morning service project we met for lunch and discussed our next service activity.  We went to neighborhoods with our color groups, split up, and went door

Camp Serve Day 1

Today at Camp Serve~~~

Us campers arrived at 8:30 eager for our first day of camp. We headed towards Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield. Staff greeted us and welcomed us to come and enjoy some fun games such as" Ninja" and "Stand Up." We then headed to the Club Time to enjoy some worship. We sang songs and learned a bible story about a blind man that got his eyes oppened. Then we tried experiencing what it was like with our eyes closed and missed out on an awesome goat impression...

Heifer Finale

Thursday night, after dinner, all the participants at Heifer Ranch headed down to the pavilion for the Heifer County Fair. Most of us dunked our heads in bobbing for apples and all joined in on dancing to strong blue grass music. Next, we partnered up and all grabbed a water balloon for ‘water balloon toss’. Gabe and Kristian tied for first. The next thing we did was the ‘snail hug’. This mystery activity confused us all but blindly we participated.
